    Default How to store sandpaper

With my recent shed reorganisation, I'm trying to tidy everything up.

Does anyone have any smart ways to store your sandpaper? (the flat sheet stuff, not the rolls). I have a few ideas in mind, but thought I'ld ask.

Currently, all my flat sandpaper is stored in a plastic drawer, and it is hard to see what i've got, and the corners are curling up.

I bought one of those portable files from an OfficeWorks store. Works quite well.

I made one like that from scrap 12mm chipboard with 3 mm MDF inserts.
I label each slot with the sandpaper grit.
I actually have 2 - one for ordinary paper and one for wet & dry.
I also use a texta to write the grit size in large print in several places on the back of the sheets. Makes it easier to see when laying on the bench.

I went to a computer oriented swap meet. I purchased one of those flip files for the old 5-1/4" floppy disks. It now holds the sandpaper for my 5 inch ROS.

I stack them together and put a piece of flat timber that's around the same size of the paper on the sand paper. it doesnt look tidy...but keeps the papers flat

    Default sand paper

I use a old small fridge(not working) and put a 10 watt globe inside it this keeps the moisture out and it stops the paper rolling I find it's very good for the belts hope this helps

I use a portable hanging file box as well. There's extra room in the back of it for manuals and warranties too.

Looks great Eowyn. I like how you've picked a few ideas and put them together in what will work for you.
