    Default Stress Grade Of Unstamped Timber

    It used to be that any timber that was not stamped was to be regarded as F4 grade. Does that still apply under current regulations

    I believe that's still the case for any pine, but hardwoods can be visually graded by a suitably trained/qualified person. Like you though, I'm a bit out of touch.
