Default Studio Bench Spaces Available In The H & Co Studio Melbourne

    Hello,

I have recently acquired a new workshop space in Melbourne, I'm in the process of setting it up as shared studio and woodworking space.

I am currently advertising the available bench spots in the workshop, which will have access to the machine room. I am hoping that you might be able to assist me with spreading the word please, particularly and importantly to right type of person / woodworker.

I have pasted the details of the space below this letter. Could you please help me by letting anybody who you might be interested know?

    Thank you for your time.

We are offering a few spaces in our shared workshop, room for a bench and a tool cabinet (bench, hand tools and cabinet not provided). You will have access to our fully equipped machine room. Machines are maintained sharp, tuned and presented ready for use.
    Machines include:

    • Panel Saw

    • Thicknesser

    • Surface Planer

    • Jointer

    • Bandsaw

    • Drill Press

We will provide an affordable workshop environment, setup for industrial making and experimentation in modern manufacturing techniques. We will provide a creative and safety conscious environment, with the provision of equipment intrinsic to the manufacture of quality products.

This type of workspace will allow experienced woodworkers and or novice designer / makers to turn skills acquired from study and training into industry applications.

Located in Richmond, the workshop is conveniently located close to public transport, both tram and train points are within walking distance and parking is readily available right at the front door.

RENT: $150 per week (24/7 access)

Please get in contact with any questions. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer inspections until mid August.
If you are interested and would like to be considered for one of the spaces, please email us a your current resume, a portfolio/website and could you also respond to the following three questions:
    • What would you like to use the workshop and bench space for?
    • Describe your experiences with machines and how you plan to maintain a safe and healthy work practice.
    • Elaborate on your ability to work and communicate effectively in a shared environment.
In addition to paying rent, tenants all pay an equal percentage of utility bills. Lastly, if you’re successful in securing a space in our studio, you will be required to pay a $650 Bond on commencement of the lease.

Thanks Scott, I appreciate your well wishes. I know from personal experience that their is limited spaces for woodworkers in Melbourne and as I couldn't find one to share myself, the next best thing was to setup my own. In the process I hope to help a few others in their woody endeavours.
