Default Suitable timber for bread board

I'm making 3 bread boards for my wife and two daughters out of Jarrah and Iron Bark.

Are these two timbers suitable for food preparation and not too tough on the knives? I was thinking of making end grain boards because the grain is quite dense.

    What do people think?

I've made a couple of chopping boards. Here is one I made last year.https://www.woodworkforums.com/f40/wi...-board-124627/
I have also made one out of jarrah and maple with no problems at all. I actually plan to make more out of it.

Camphor Laurel is also known to be great for cutting boards as it has anti-bacterial agents.

    Make sure you post photos!
