Default By Order of SWMBO & SWMBO'S clone

I have some shed room since daughter moved out over the Easter break

So it doesn't take em long does it a phone call tonight from the Clone
could you make me a knife caddy and a utensil caddy for my kitchen Dad??

Followed by LOML reminding me she had also ordered new set from me a while back

I made LOML's first ones of Radiata many moons ago, I have at hand some Jarrah, Marri, Blackbean, Cedar,

Ok well aware of the Blackbean safety when cutting sanding etc what about using it for such.

    Suggestions for other timbers.

Wheelin' - I'm pretty sure the hazard with Black bean is in the dust - inhaling or ingesting it can cause nasty allergic reactions in many of us. As finished articles, even a knife-holder, it should create no problems. I worked lots of it back in the 60's when it was used as a local substitute for the Teak that was so popular at the time. Got pretty sensitised to the sanding dust (real men don't need those sissy masks, do they? ) but have continued to live with a few bits of B/B furniture with no problems.......

I have a few chunks of Bean stashed away still. I'm avoiding it, I suppose, but it would be handy in case a repair is needed. Funny thing is, not a lot of that 'Scandinavian style' stuff seems to have survived to need repair....

    Cheers,
    IW
