    Default Sydney Exhibition

    As part of design week there is this exhibition......

    Design + Wood 2007: an exhibition of contemporary studio furniture

    Date: Tue 14 Aug 2007 - Sat 25 Aug 2007
    Time: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
    Venue: Depot I & Depot II Galleries, 3/2 Dank Street, Waterloo
    Organised by the Woodworkers’ Association of NSW, this exhibition brings to light a group of furniture makers who create very contemporary work in the tradition of workshop-based production. Thrown into the mix are emerging and established designer-makers as well as recent graduates. Collectively, their work captures the spirit of the maker as well as dedication to the high level of craftsmanship that’s not always achievable in large-scale production.

    Supported by Forests NSW and The Gordon Darling Foundation

    14-25 August
    Open 10am-6pm, Tuesday to Saturday (closed Sunday & Monday), free entry

    I know several graduates from Sturt Gallery will be exhibiting.

    How about the afternoon of Tuesday? My social calender is fairly heavy that week, Tech on Monday (machining), Sturt gallery on Wednesday, Tech on Thursday (welding) Dinner Friday night, yep that wrecks that week, its hard being on holidays and having a heavy schedule like this
