Sydney - The Tradition Tool Group sale
I was fortunate to be at The Traditional Tool Group annual sale event today.
I did not see anyone that I knew but I expect that some persons that attend might also be on this forum. There were some interesting stalls where you could have picked up rusty tools to fix up yourself. I have a few like that so I though that I should continue with them before going out and getting something else.
As
I went with the other half and the words stated was make sure that what you purchase is useful. Well she did not mention what level or definition of time to be useful.
What you see in the photo is what I ended up getting.
5 cans of G-15 rust prevention from Jim Davey
1 Eclipse Saw Set
2 small files to use for sharping saw
4 lathe chisels for lathe work - I might be jumping the gun a little here as I have not started on fixing the lathe that I recently picked up for another forum member.

And yes 5 cans of G-15 as I started using one in the shed. So much rust so little time.
What did others end up getting?

Christos
Unfortunately I had to leave early (before 10am), and as I was involved with setup and vehicles etc from 6.45am, did not get a chance to do much on the buying side. I did see the unbranded XX Slim files at Mogy's, but forgot to pick a few up for testing.
When you have given them a try, can you please post a report?
Thanks
Peter
ps I hope those who attended had a good time, and found some good things. Suggestions for improvements much appreciated. How do people feel about the new date (last time in May)?

Will do.
I thought that the timing of the event this year was the same time as last year. Jane mention to me that this was not as cold as last year. And I corrected her in that last year was not so cold. I got an apology to make to her.
