contemporry bed plans
Hi everyone,
I am looking for bed plans for a contemporary queen/king size bed.
I've looked at heaps of online plans for free and paid for plans. The problem is that they are all very old fashioned (turned legs etc). It seems to me that there is a big lag between plans that are available and current trends (eg straight lines and angles are in, turned legs and curves are out). Girlfriends can be very demanding as to style...
Can anyone suggest any web addresses that might help? Or do I need to design something for myself?
Thanks

Beds
Andrew, have a look at one I made recently. Its under woodwork /furniture in my Photo album at http://gallery.groov-e.com/
If its of help I could give you a rough plan in a few days and it is a double with a slat base, a very sturdy construction.
Regards Mike

Don't scour the Web, be original. Check out the Cpt Snooze etc, see what u like, then go home and improve on it. Post your final sketches here and all us tragics will go bozo helping u build it.
Involve the old lady too, then she buys into the bed and u can't go wrong.
May even need some extra re-inforcement if its a winner!Bodgy

Although Mick and Phil beds are good looking(to my taste anyway!)their not what Id call contemporary, the norm trend in contemporary tends to be boxy or very straight lined with highlights of differing materials like metal or painted sections... even contrasting woods.

thanks guys, I reckon I'll take some inspiration from all the suggestions. First step will be to visit some bed shops and steal some design ideas and improve on them.
Anyone know of any freeware that I can put together a scale diagam with?
thanks again
