Sydney Wood Show Vs Canberra Show
Hi Everyone,
I'm unable to get to the Sydney WWW show this year as I will be down in VIC. I thought that instead, I can travel down to the Canberra WWW show later in the year.
Does anybody know how the two shows compare? Are they the same size, content of demonstrations etc...?
If the Sydney show does turn out to be bigger, I may be able to take the Friday off work and go to the Sydney show in the morning. But still, I don't mind travelling down to Canberra.
Your feedback is much appreciated.
Cheers.

I seem to have an annual thing which prevents me from getting to Sydney normally. I'm thinking of going to CAnberra also, or maybe make a weekend of it and fly to Melbourne. I'd probably be better waiting until the Melbourne one was on if I did that I guess.

To answer the original question. The Canberra show is about a third the size of Sydney's, going on the last two years. I go to both.

Burn's right, still plenty of timber to choose from(if you beat me in) and plenty of demo's. Last year Richard Raffan demo'd on the lathe.
Cheers

I have been to the Canberra show for the past 3 years and I noticed that last year's was much smaller (one whole hall was not used). Apart from an excuse to visit Bungendore Woodworks on the way back, I won't be going again.
Parking in Sydney is a bugger but the variety and number of stalls makes up for it. It will be interesting what Triton does this year.
Re the other matter about the club closing down, I haven't forgotten you. There will be an official SGM to close the club in May and it will be after that I start contacting people about meeting for show and tell.
