AWR competition
i was thinking about entering the AWR competition and i am 15 and i dont know what the difference is between the school and student sections? Do I have to build the project at school to enter the school section?
I was also wondering what type of furniture won last year in these sections to see if i even have a chance.
I dont know how many piece i can enter either. I want to enter a jarrah office desk with burl inlay and sheoak drawer fronts, jarrah dining table with rounded ends with burl inlay that follows the curve, and i am going to make a jarrah buffet with burl inlay and doors with a jarrah frame and solid burl inside them.

Hi LeighOnly 15 and already confident enough to do all that? I'd say that you have a pretty good chance of winning.
I would think that the difference between the student and school sections is that the student one is for individuals and the schools one is a group effort. Don't really know, just guessing. Best of luck and post some piccys when you have something.Bob Willson

i have only posted a coffee table and a burl bowl i made but i will try to get some photos of the desk. i think you will like the inlay i have done, it is a jarrah burl slices into 10x50mm strips and glued into the desktop and the gaps inbetween the burls stips are filled with black west systems and so are the burl cracks.
here is the link to the coffee table.
