Table lamp - help needed
Hi all,
I've just finished making the base for a table lamp out of laminated Blackbutt and Kwila. Where can I get the electrical parts and shade to complete my project? All of the lighting and electrical stores just want to sell me a whole lamp.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris

For the electrical parts you could go to www.cws.au.com
The shade may be more of a Spotlight or Lindcraft item.

For the electrical parts try an electrical wholesaler such as Middys or AWM.

Great looking piece!
Sometimes it is just cheaper to buy a whole lamp and scavenge the parts...

From the UK anything I said about where you could buy what you need would be no use.
But I'd like to say that's some stunning work you've done there.Dragonfly

Thanks for the compliments. This is the first time I've tried making any artsy-fartsy stuff. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out.
Apparently you can get the parts at B.. B... Bu.... I can't bring myself to say it, but it's the big green "hardware" chain.
Avery, I like that idea. I had thought about it, but thought that it would be too expensive. Glad that you have proved me wrong.
Thanks for your help and suggestions.
