Table saws (what type)
Hi all,
This is my first visit to our site, very impressed. I am interested in purchasing a table saw. The main purpose of the will be for furniture manufacturing as well as forming rebates, tennons, trenching, dateos etc. My price range is $ 1500-$1800. I am after a saw that will be accurate, robust & low maintenance. Any advice on saws & accesories will be apprecated.
Thanking you, Julian.

Hi Julian
I would use the Search button to check out past discussions. I was doing some research of my own on buying a TS and I found plenty of posts this way that were fairly helpful.
If you do this, you can get a whole heap of background info and then maybe come up with some specific questions for the forum to answer.
For the price range you mention, you'll probably find most people will mention Jet, maybe Delta or some of the Carbatec badged saws.
Happy searching
Dion

Just make sure that you get a good sliding table! The most valuable feature next to a good rip fence. Make sure that the rip fence can be easily set with a small clearance to the back of the blade. Mico adjusters on both are a great extra. Look for second hand Hammers! (Note that is a Capital "H" for all you pickeroes out there)
