As mentioned make sure your splitter,riving knife is the same thickness as your blade,it is good to have a thin kerf blade but if it is thicker than the blade you will have trouble with binding.
Thin kerf blades also can distort if loaded too much,there is a posting on "why use a thin kerf blade ? " it talked:2tsup: about using one if you saw was under powered ,interesting post.

I use standard 1/8" kerf blades on a 3hp saw, all is working nicely now I've adjusted the fence properly. All seemed ok, until I ran a dial indicator along it, it was binding by nearly a millimeter from memory....
