tea trolley
SWMBO has requested I make an old fashioned tea trolley which apparently was advertised in some recent junk mail in Brisbane. Of course we've lost it.
so does anyone know of any plans or pictures anywhere I could work from?J. Stevens

There are complete plans and instructions for a tea trolley (he calls it a 'serving cart') in Tage Frid's book Tage Frid Teaches Woodworking, Book 3: Furnituremaking. Even has spoked wheels.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

Hi J Stevens
I would try typing "tea trolley" into ebay and see what photos it brings up. I just did it now and a few ideas came forward. Either that or take a trip down to your local antique store and find one there. That way you can look and feel it for yourself and make up some plans from the rough measurements you could eyeball yourself. If the store owner is particularly obliging, you could take your tape measure!
Cheers

Hi JS - I hope you realise that the price of our help is posting pictures of the tea trolley, either progress or and including the finished piece.
I have been known to beg for pictures
cheers

The plan for my 2 carts was in " American Woodworker Furniture Projects "
ISBN 0878577939 published by Rosdale in 1989. Try your library they may be able to find a copy. I rounded the corners on the drop leafs on mine
Lee Valley also sells a plan
