CTS cutterheads take 15 x 15 x 2.5 r150 inserts, these ones - CTS Shelix Cutterhead Carbide Inserts
Are these the correct fitment?

No they're not the right ones as the CTS is only 30°. I have both these cutter heads and I have checked them against each other and the CTS inserts don't fit.

In everyway except they're look square edged. (Darn)
BUT, thank you for looking and the link.
Still a W.I.P.

They are so close but they are missing the R150 radius on the cutting edge. Not sure how critical that is in making them seat properly in the head. Certainly getting closer.

I've got to say that Timbecon have managed to effectively lock us into buying the replacement cutters direct as the R150 is in most cases the deal breaker in finding a generic.
The nice thing is we get spares to start and unless you unlucky or dumb like me your not even likely to need the spares.
I am still working on sourcing custom manufactured units to spec just going far slower than i'd like but it is hibernating season here.
The 37 deg angle is critical for seating the cutters correctly. R150 is for them to provide a nice smooth finish, the straight blades would leave a small line I believe but very happy to be proved wrong on this.
Edit: the linked ones also do not have a corner radius making them more likely to chip the very corner ruining two edges at a time
cheers
Phil

These inserts come very close but unfortunately don't seem to combine the R150 and the 37° in the one item.
