    Thanks Phil

I'm glad I put it out there; could have made a mistake.
    Learning as we go stuff.

I appreciate your input and thoughts in this thread.

    Cheers

The red line is a 150mm radius line
The insert on the left is one of my damaged ones and i'm reminded that I need to ask for the r0.5mm radius on the corners as well
The insert on the right is one of the 30 degree units and you can see the larger base area that would stop it seating correctly

besides the different sizes the variation just in the 15mm versions for the edge is straight, R50, R100, R150 add in sharp or R0.5 corners. The company i was speaking to also made the bevel angles in 30, 35, and 40. 37 was a new grind for them and they would need to configure the CNC hence the MOQ

Then add in carbide grades and we are in a minefield

CTS cutterheads take 15 x 15 x 2.5 r150 inserts, these ones - CTS Shelix Cutterhead Carbide Inserts
    Are these the correct fitment?

    Gday aldav,

    Thanks for link.
    The Sherwood 15 x 15 x 2.5 r150 inserts are 37 degree side angle.
    I couldn't see a side angle listed.
    Obvious - contact SJE.
Still a WIP, but maybe getting there.

No they're not the right ones as the CTS is only 30į. I have both these cutter heads and I have checked them against each other and the CTS inserts don't fit.

They are so close but they are missing the R150 radius on the cutting edge. Not sure how critical that is in making them seat properly in the head. Certainly getting closer.
