What Timber is This?
Hi
I was given this beautiful piece of timber. It is quite dense. I do not have a clue what species it is. Can you help?

what is the size of that piece?
how long have you had it...ie did it come from grandads shed?
or where did you get it from?
anything to do with old boats down your way?I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

I think it called pretty. Probably someting called ......Oak not a true oak more something like She Oak, Bull Oak - probably native dry region?
