    Default What Timber is This?

    Hi
I was given this beautiful piece of timber. It is quite dense. I do not have a clue what species it is. Can you help?

    Cheers

Agree, it's almost certainly an alocasuarina. My first thought was hairy oak, but could be she oak, river oak, bull oak. Will probably be hard as nails, look good straight off the plane and have high cross-grain expansion.
