Timber for Barrel Sauna
Hi Guys,
just wondering if you know wood alternatives for a barrel sauna. I was looking at the price for Western Red Cedar and it is fairly high at the moment. I was told that White Beech would also be a good alternative, any experience with this? any other ideas?
thanks
Leo

this is only a guess, not knowing much about portable ones. go visit a shop selling them, keeping in mind the whatever timber may be stained to look something different.
I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

White beech though durable is highly susceptible to borer (Lyctus) and termite. I would suggest Sequoia if you can find a tree lopper or backyard miller. These trees were often grown as garden specimens and once mature could scare the bejesus out of their owners by their sheer size. Hence the tree lopper. I have plenty if you want some but its a long way to travel.
