    Crow's ash makes a nice feeling tool handle, a bit on the heavy side, BUT, if you drive something sharp into the end grain, it splits for miles.

    I have made some very nice awls out of it but then split the handle half the lenght of the tool driving a concrete nail into a predrilled hole.

    Ive got some in Tuart and some in Jarrah... best woods for hard hittin things I reckon
