New Timber floor
Hi Everyone,
Can you help with this one, I recently purchased 136 sq metres of EASTERN WALNUT / KERUING OVERLAY, 90X14X600-2100MM from Grays but I'm not sure if its ok to lay over the existing timber floor or can this be used in place of the existing floor, The existing timber is pretty old and worn quiet badly in some places. I was hoping that this would be ok to use as I have a pub in Kalgoorlie and would like to install this new timber flooring.
Any information would be much appreciated.
Regards
John

overlay can be layed onto and exsisting floor as long as it is FLAT! which it normally isn't. so some work may need to be done there. Or you can put down some sheet matrial ply and you can shoot straight into that. or yo ucan even put it straight onto concrete as long as the mostuire content is less then 5% , or it's sealed.
No reason what it can't be done.
Only short lengths is going to be a pain in the bum though. thats lots of end matching. It'll look alot like brickwork. and short lengths may be more likely to mobe around if not sucured down well. (ie don't secret nail it)
Good luck.Steven Thomas
