Default Timber to use for outdoor furniture

Hi and Merry Christmas to all my Cyber friends.

I want to build a couple of Adirondack chairs.

I realise that Teak is probably the go for the construction, but I would like some suggestions on what else I could use that may be more cost effective.

    Regards

    Greg

Merbau's good, but it can stain concrete. Whatever you use, make sure you keep it oiled.
