Default Best timber for Park Tables

I'm looking to build some park tables and benches. Will be putting timber on steel frames. Anyone recommend a safe, durable, light weight timber to use for these tables? A timber that will not twist or dip readily. thanks

IMHO kwila is best but it is very heavy. Teak is unaffordable.

Most light weight timbers are not very durable when exposed to weather. For park benches why do you want them light? Do you intend moving them around?

    Cheers

The best timber for this application is Alaskan yellow cedar (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis)
