BladeCote formely DriCote
I stumbled across a video which showed the cleaning of a saw blade which ended with the presenter buffing in some Bladecote made by Bostik. He claimed it reduces friction, reduces heat and prolongs the build up of pitch and resin so more time between sharpening.
Bostik Australia strangely don't supply it here but in NZ and the US they do. I can get it on ebay from the US for about $75 AUD delivered but on amazon.com.au its a ridiculous $122 which is typical of that useless site. I already have similar products like boshield T9, Top cote and Carbatec's Silverglide but these are more for cast iron surfaces as opposed to blades and bits
Anyone used Bladecote? Any good? Gimmick? Any equivalents? Worthwhile? Where can you get it?

I have never used it, to be honest coating blades with such formulations gives only a very temporary advantage, you will spend more time coating the blade than using it

I reckon as soon as the first piece of timber starts to bind, the heat generated will burn off any coating instantly. Unless the coating is vapor deposited in a vacuum chamber so it physically bonds to the blade, I think it's a waste of time.
