Timber warping due to heat
I have 2 beautiful Maranti cabinets that were made to house my carpet snakes. I have fitted one out (luckily not both) but the heat source has caused the timber to warp at the joins nearest to the heat lamps.
Can anyone offer me advice on the best methods of insulating the other walls of the cabinet from the ceramic heat source.
Thanks

Perhaps using MDF might be better than solid timber, especially when there is a heat source in the box or snake house.
You'd be able to veneer the mdf on the outside so it still looks good, but the MDF wouldn't move.
However, I have to agree that insulating the inside would be a much better move.
I can only suggest you make contact with some insulation places and see what they advise.
Unless anyone on the forum owns snakes and can share their Snake house setup perhaps?
cheers
