First pic is of the first row of tails for my new anarchist tool chest that I'm building.

Not too sure how the lining board will go at the corners as it has the "v" joint?

Made glue up of the panels a snap though)

The case has come together well, joints are tight but it was late last night once I finished the last if the dovetails and i wanted to get it together. In retrospect I should have delayed glue up till today but I really want to see it come together.
Thus it's not perfectly square about three mm out but it will not effect functionality.

I hadn't noticed last night but I think I managed to get all the panels the right way around, which means that the "v" joint in the lining boards line up.
I think it's rather striking.

How did u join the boards together? Dowels, biscuits or breadboards?

Not sure what you mean,
The panels were edge joined just with glue, owing to the fact that they have tongue and grooves there is heaps of surface area thus making a very strong edge joint.

At the corners they are dovetails, interlocking tails and pins, that form a mechanical joint that can not be pulled apart in one direction. The massive amount of surface area supplied for gluing also permits a very strong joint in the other direction.

Additionally the box will get skirts top and bottom that will also be dovetailed but in the other direction, this making a bomb proof box! (Fingers crossed)

At least the Blackwood should be well acclimatized, because I suspect with tight joints there could be a problem.

I'll nail through the skirts too, I think.
