    show me your miter saw dust collection pics

    The small slot at the bottom must have the same or greater area that the extraction pipe to keep the air speed up. The problem some might have is a slow air speed due to the CFM capacity of the dust extractor but some is better than nothing. I have just finished my version and it works very well. I incorporated the blast gate into the cabinet itself as I have duck's disease and can't reach the blast gate if it was over to top of the cabinet though If I had thought of it I could have used this..

    Not wanting to hijack Pellcorp's thread but just wondering if Chris wouldn't mind putting up a few pics of the blast gates on those other forums if possible

    Pete, I am not sure if I get what you mean. The rocking gate or the one I put in my collection hood also which forum.

    Ah! sorry about that as I did not realise you had to be registered to view the images. I don't know if it is a copyright issue to copy pics from one forum to another, Mods?

    Yeh, not sure either, personally I think once a pic has been posted on a forum without any sort of copyright warning thingy on the pic it's open slather but the decent thing to do is ask for permission, I know a forum member posted some pics of mine on a US forum which is fine by me, quite chuffed to think my pics where worthy
