Old Tool Sale
Did anybody go to the old tool sale in Sydney today?
Did you get anything interesting?Ross"All government in essence," says Emerson, "is tyranny." It matters not whether it is government by divine right or majority rule. In every instance its aim is the absolute subordination of the individual.

Yep, and yep Got a mint Tyzack dovetail saw and a mint Stanley #78, could have spent a packet there easily
They had everything from the usual flea market bucket full of rust for 50c through to a mint Stanley #1 for $3,900 - and just about everything in between. Well worth the trip down. The Australian Woodworkers Database - over 3,500 Aussie Woods listed: http://www.aussiewoods.info/

What were the details on this sale? I was unaware of it
Is it a yearly thing or a one off?

Old tool sale
It's yearly, but could easily be 6 monthly, for mine. It's run by Henry Black and is usually around this time of year. It's always been a must. Details usually turn up on dealers' sites or the TTG site, for example.
And for the public record, I am denying that I bought too many...........sorry, I didn't get anything at all. Nothing. Promise.
