I will not be able to make it this year.

I hope the people that are going find something that is needed. Or at the very least find a need for something that is purchased.

Christos sorry you didn't make it.

It was last minute dash to get in the car between rain bursts here, then similar there. Parking is a joke otherwise its a top location.

Picked up a Reversing switch for the Myford Ml7, a height gauge just needs a bit of HSS for the cutter, 2 small chisels for son if he doesn't want them they are mine.
Missed a set of ally V-blocks
Thanks to Pacman/Paul and his pal for the books I was able to by Sue.

Caught up with Peter/heavens above, John, Fletty, Pacman, AndrewOC and Speedbore oh and Sawdust maker who brought his own plastic bags and sat for 40mins talking to Sue whinging about having ben cught out by his Sue and what he spent last week at Sturt.

It was worth the trip from Boyne Island to Sydney for the tool sale.
Share pictures of your tools and i'll show you mine.
I spent the whole time there, the wife insisted... She keep saying "are you sure you are finished? you flew to Sydney just for this"
So I lost count of how many times i walked around the tables.
I had a great time, thank you for the chance to get a few great tools.
I'm still in the market for a few more hand planes though.

Hi Nads please don't tell me that was you and your good wife (in the blue blouse) I kept running into with the wheelchair (I am really considering her idea if it was). http://fromoldbooks.org/OldEngland/0...75-500x429.jpg

I picked this scrub plane up for a cool $20.00. I didn't go there with the intention of buying one but for that price feel I couldn't loose.

Ray was that you in the wheelchair? I was standing beside you at one stage. I hope I'm not being insensitive. I always thought the Wheelinround was a reference to you being a truckie.

TT I think so bright blue chair I think I was the only wheelchair user there this time. No worries. No I started using the "wheelnround" as I have been around wheels of one form or another since a toddler either riding driving building or fixing them i first started using it long before using the wheelchair on a Bus & Coach forum ex Coach driver although drove mates truck a few times.

When I signed on here somehow it became "wheelinround" make me sound like a cattle dog

    Default fletty

I've been a bit slow on the gloat pics. My employers seemed to think that the last 48 hours belonged to them,

    TTTC2015-01.jpg

I bought these brace and bits largely because it had obviously once been someone's pride and joy, and now it had been reduced to a $15 bargain on a table covered with other orphaned tools. The brace appears to be unbranded and the only identification is "Made in England".

The saw handle was sold like this but the Disston medallion and the full set of split bolts alone are worth every one of the $10 I paid for it. The 2" Greenlees socket chisel was the big purchase of the day and I would normally ask wheeling' to turn me a new LN style handle to become one of the family ....but maybe I'll be asking him to turn an H&S style handle soon instead?
I also bought a set of numeral stamps but managed to leave them with Sue and Ray ...it was accidental although serendipitous because Ray has now cleaned them for me ?

I got a lift with Fletty & we formulated a plan to get the one item I was really after, a Record 405 combination plane, I would go round one way & Fletty the other. It only took me about a minute to find what I was after. The fence is not original, it's from a Stanley 45 & missing the knob. A few of the cutters have been ground with curves, but most still have enough length left to grind flat again. I may leave them them like that & try to pick up some replacements or make new ones. As I got it for only $100 & want it as a user, not for show, I'm very happy with it. I also picked up a Diston saw, a couple of saw files & a small hammer. Now to start saving for next year.
