Tread thickness
Hi,
For a stair of 1200mm rise, width of 800mm (distance between stringers), 7 treads. What is the suitable thickness for the tread?
Thanks.

Depends on the timber.
For an internal stair, width of 750mm
Vic Ash, Jarrah: 27mm
Messmate"26mm
R.Pine:33mm
Oregon:30mm
(Timber Framing Manual, hopefully not out of date)
