Treadle Sewing Machine Cabinet
I have recently purchased a 1920 Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. Believe the cabinet is made out of Tiger Oak? and would like to restore as veneer is lifting, cracked and little bits missing on edge. Have no idea how to start, what to do, what to use. Appreciate any advice to get me started
Thanks

Do you really want the cabinet and all the fittings? if you are never going to actually use the machine, your home will look uncluttered if you take the drawers off, remove the sewing machine mechanism, respray the iron and put on a new top with your favourite timber.
This sounds like heresy to some but i believe 'uncluttered' is the way to go. (except in the workshop)
