Trestle table advice
Hello all,
First I just want to say thank you for all the help that tis forum has already provided. I have learned a ton by just searching the recent posts.
Ok Well I am kinda a newbie to woodworking. I have always had a huge interest in woodworking. However, due to lack of space (apt living) and lack of money I was never really able to fully dive into the hobby.
However do to recent changes I now have space, still little money tho, to pursue a bit more.
So we have no dining table. So I would like for my first major project to be a table. Our house is kinda "rough sawed" and "rustic" like. So I really like alot of the Really chunky trestle table I have seen. So my question is do any of you know where I could get the plans for a nice heavy duty no frills easy to build trestle table?
Also I know all the benifits of hardwood. however with a limited budget I am kinda leaning towards using pine stock. I can just finish it with a maple stain if that is the color I desire right. Or am I wrong on this assuption? I know it will not be as nice a useing maple, but it would look totally stupid will it?
Well thanks for any and all advice and tip you can provide. Thanks so much all.
Keep your lines tight and your saws humming,

Welcome to the forums fishin !
I'd suggest doing, surprise suprise, a search on this site, and on the web, also google images for some ideas.
Say using: plan dining trestle as your search terms in google web.
Good luck...........cheers.............Sean

This site has a multitude of plans, I haven't looked for what you want but I would be surprised if you don't find something under 'T'.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

I am not sure if this will help, as it was designed and built for the garden, but the thread contains construction details.
