    Default Triton Adirondack chair plans

Many years ago Triton put out some Adirondack chair plans - I think they were the nicest adirondacks I’ve ever seen. I’ve made them from this plan several times over the years and now I want to make some more but I have lost the plans. Does anyone have a copy, or a scan, or know where I might get some.

I think the plans came out in the 1990s, and you can tell the right ones because the back was just 4 pieces - 2 wide ones in the middle and two narrower and shorter ones on the edge.

    Cheers

And just to save some time - I know that there is currently these plans on the Triton website. Attention Required! | Cloudflare

But they are not the ones. The originals weee much nicer. I think it came out as a newsletter in about 1996.

I think I may have a Triton book of that vintage with various plans in it. Will check tomorrow.

    Hi Arron,

I have this one pictured below. The description doesn't quite match (5 piece back) but the timeline is about right as far as I can tell.

If it's what you want, and this picture isn't good enough (and it probably is a bit distorted just by being a photo) shoot me a PM with your email and I can scan it to PDF and send it to you.

I have a couple of other similar plans I could dig out (not Triton) if this isn't what you want.

I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Actually, forget what I said above, I’ve just found an old photo of our back yard and they were indeed 5 piece backs.

The centre one was the thickest and tallest, the next two (one each side) were thinner and about 50mm lower, and the outside ones were lower again.

Otherwise the photo is obscured and not much use.

Doug, I can’t see the photo you have attached or linked too or whatever?

    Cheers

Looks like the photo didn't attach properly, trying again.

Yep, that’s the one Doug. 100%.

You can always rely on this forum.

I’ll see if I can work from that image, otherwise I’ll hit you up for the PDF.

    Thanks

Arron, I will post the PDF here. Probably in my own best interests for me to do so or I will be getting hit up every second week by people asking for a free plan. I'm sure it will be easier for you to work form the PDF in any case.Pretty sure this will be out of copyright by now anyway.

Best of luck with your build.

    Ok, I’ve printed that out.

I will probably make it with a slight curve in the back. I guess Triton made the back straight across because most of its readers would have had no access to a bandsaw back then. A bit different now.

Thanks again, and thanks to the other members who participated in this thread.

No worries. Would love to see a pic of the finished modified product.
