Well, I appear to be up and running OK with the firewall in the router turned back on. I received an Email from Reed Smith at thewoodworkingchannel advising that they are in the process of moving to a larger and better streaming provider. I have done nothing at my end to improve things. If they are acknowledging a past steaming problem, then it may have some sort of timing problem with my configuration. Two things to recognise, 1 - I am up an working great ( even the wireless laptop), and 2 - thewoodworkingchannel is trying to provide good service. I reported this difficulty some time back, and it did not end up in the "too hard basket". BTW, I am still experiencing at times a frozen image with normal sound. Have passed this on to Reed. What I don't know, is to what extend my local broadband vendor can interfere with the delivery.

"If a man is after money, he's money mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a never-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Because I'm ignorant of sooooo much, I've been wondering if isolation from capital cities may have something to do with problems in localities.
