TV Stand questions - thicknessing, laminating, warping
Since year 12, 5 years ago, I havn't done had the time, wood or motivation to do any woodworking and have conveiently forgetting everything I learnt during year 12 when I made my project!
I am planning on making a tv stand, and have a few questions:
- When laminating wood together, is biscuit joins the best way to do it, or is this unecessary? I don't have a biscuit joiner, but could experiment with dowel joins if I have to. But is just using glue enough?
- Some of the wood I have has warped a little and has a slight concave shape. Will this be horrible once I start working with it, or will I be able to work around it?
- Does anyone have a thicknesser I can borrow I have forgotten though, does wood require thicknessing for any reason? I know I did it for all my wood in year 12 but I can't remember why...
Thanks for the help, I'm sure I'll be back here constantly!
