mornin'
am looking to find the maker of what i can best describe as a twisted, set of 3 drawers, bedside cabinet.
this marvel was on one of the displays at the sydney working with wood show around 6 years ago and i think was made in nsw.
standing around 700mm high, 500mm square on top, the 3 drawers were offset horizontally from each other by around 7 degrees, resulting in a slight spiral of the casing.
my understanding is that the sides and back were shaved to shape from solid pieces.
as the drawers were locked and nobody was in attendance to ask at the time it was only speculation as to how the movement worked and how this piece could have been imagined in the first place, let alone constructed,
anybody familiar with this?
