What type of "draw" is this?
Gday everyone.
I would post a pic but don't know the name of the draw I am trying to look for and maybe use.
These draws are sometimes hidden and they are semi circular. They pivot on a centre point. You push one side and they rotate out.
I am looking at a 150 wide radius. Put simply a desk object with one of these drawers beneath.
Any help greatly appreciated
cheers
Bob

Thanks Biil, trying to source a net version as I type.
It's hard to find anything like these drawers on the net. Ive' searched for every description I can think of. Always turning up little or drawers that pivot from a corner or ny other way you can imagine.
Found the June edition. Only has curved face drawers. Goo tutorial on making a featured cutting board though. 8)

Thanks Wongo
Could you please email me the picture. This forum downsizes the pictures.

Interesting that this is a large 1/4 draw, rather than the semi circular I was thinking. Either will suffice for what I would like to do.
Also how is the curved wall section made? My radius would be around 150mm. 8/
I'm thinking I might have to dampen and bend around some ply on poly pipe an leave for a week, maybe?

Bob, that was taken from my macbook. I will take a few better ones tomorrow using my camera.
The curve is done by laminating strips of wood. I hope you are doing this because you like a little challenge and want something different. To me it doesn’t look as good as a square drawer and it is a waste of space.Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com

I am investigating doing a smaller version to go into a desktop object. Electronic cigarette stands. I may do a simple draw but for something different would like to try this. If I can find simple method I can do.
At the moment I am thinking concentric circle cuts in MDF for the draw walls I can get 4 draws out of the one circle and put on a veneer front. Its more the pivoting layout I am interested in.
Thanks heaps for ya help.
I am making something like this with a draw beneath.
