What type of timber is this
I have just cut up a lump of timber I have had for about 15 years. But I have forgotten what it is. It is pale to yellow and I believe it is a QLD hardwood. The wood dust smells like cigarette or cigar ash.
As I am slowly entering the 20th century I might try to put up a picture once I have dressed a board. My age is still less than my number of posts

I wouldn't have said cigarette ash, but silver ash does have a peculiar smell. It's also a Qld timber and white to pale yellow when first cut so that might be it.
