CA Glue is still used widely in the remote medical field, price difference CA glue a few $'s per tube, Medical Suture Glue $80 per ml, go figure.
As previously stated It was developed for medical use, both military and cosmetic surgery( no suture scars)
Works for me as the newer types are far superior to the ones available to us in the 70's.

So, does one simply go to a Big Shed, ask for a toobe of CA glue, and simply apply a small dollop of it on a finger cut?

    I'm curious !!!

All we do is clean the cut, pull the edges together (steri strip) neatly and apply a drop of glue.
The steri strips don't usually last very long but long enough for the glue to dry.
Apply a normal dressing ( band aid or whatever) for normal would care.
Personally I prefer the Locktite 406.
