It's also used by forensics to bring out latent fingerprints. Wonder what proportion of sales actually are for gluing purposes.

Richard, I agree.
The above reflects my very mixed experience with superglue. Two very smooth and perfectly matched surfaces glue like the superglue commercials.
But it seems to have absolutely zero gap filling properties. If the glue is two molecules thick then it is not reliable.
Cheers

When you said you have used the glue, is it the same glue as this UHU brand?
We have all used CA but im curious about this particular brand as i havnt see such creative advertising.
I use lots of Hot stuff and love it, and about to give the new Titbond a go. Looking foward to those.

Isn't the C part of CA cyano, which is related to cyanide? Is that a good thing to put on wounds?

I've been doing it for around ten years and s'ereht gnithon gnorw htiw em! I guess it's like how you can swallow brown snake venom with no ill effects but get it in the bloodstream and you're in big trouble. Besides, it's only a cynide derivative and as others have posted earlier on this thread, it's been used in hospitals since the 1960's. And we all know doctors never make mistakes!
