    Default Umbrella stand - plans

    I hope this is in the right area.
    I am looking to make an umbrella stand for the hallway/entrance.
    I have searched the web and this sight but can't find anything suitable.
    I would like to turn one. ie a large 'bowl' at the bottom with supporting feet and an upright up the center with several rings to secure the umbrellas in place. I'd make a copper insert at the bottom to catch the water run-off.

    Any ideas or plans around to help?

    There are a few plans out there, you will just have to look around then modify one to suit.

    3 places to start - #1 & #3 have both free & pay plans.

    Thanks for the links. I had found them too during my searches. Always seems to be the square-ish ones.
    I'm looking for something that I can turn on my lathe.
    I'll keep looking.
    But it is looking like I'll have to design one up from scratch.

    I was thinking along those lines for the design.
