Thread: Understanding Building Plans

Hey All

Im an overseas Carpenter who firstly must congradulate the fine people of this beautiful country for some fabulous hospitality. I hope to contribute over the years as im a permenant resident now.

I realy wish to gain as much knowledge as quickly as possible in Understanding plans, primarily site carpentry projects and general building practices. My first port of call was the local Tafe office But unfortunaly realy didnt find
much help from the supervisor maybe a missunderstanding on my part . I than orderd a book from Standards Australia, Titled The Engineering Drawing handbook for $90 an found it helpful but its directed to an architecht. I wish to be 100% quick and confident in this area.

Also any information on the Glossary of building materials and terms would be highly appreciated even better if it could be visual.
