Thread: Need to undo bolts

Pin punch or a screw driver of the right size to fit the hole, when the tension is released it may be possible to remove the ring but that is only a guess. Must admit, I have never seen them before

These might be like the Zip bolt bench top connectors, you use an allen key or hex head driver in the hole in the larger housing side and the bolt is loosened or tightened by a little gear inside the housing.

EDIT: I take it back, found these, they are Tite Joint fasteners (Tite Joint Fastener Hardware | Rockler Woodworking and Hardware). There is no gear, stick something in the little hole and rotate the ball end, repeat until it's loose! Looks tedious, you have my commiserations.

Once the tension is backed off, the rings should slide off like a regular worktop connector.

Side note: Zip bolts are really cool in theory, but I found them to be more fiddly and less reliable than standard worktop connectors; if you strip the hex socket or one of the gears (unfortunately, it's easier than it should be), it's game over.
