    Default Universal surface grinder

Hi, I came across one of these yesterday on Facebook Marketplace for $125 ($500 new) and contacted the seller 2hrs after listing but wasn't quick enough. I really liked it as it'll do:

    • planner blades
    • hand plane blades
    • chisels
    • Drill bits

It's relatively compact and looks like a much better setup then stuffing around with a bench grinder and jigs etc.

Has anyone else used one of these? They look solid!

I had the Makita version for many years, until it was stolen, not really that hard to build if you are a bit handy

Not a bad grinder ,have had one for yrs ,what I like is it's robustness it's heavy & does not move around.I have not converted my combination machine to spiral cutters (I have a Jet Planer/thicknesser with spiral cutters) & still have the straight blades in it so I bought it way back then for those blades.

    Cheers

It does look robust which is what was an appealing and doesn't seem like there is anything else quite like it. There are some other really awesome surface grinders but you're stepping up into commercial grade territory.
