Unusual vice
Hoping someone might know something about this vice. I wound like to find the instructions for it so I can get full use out of it.
It's unbranded. Quick release jaw and quick release bench clamps. Also the handle releases from its drive so that it can be turned in a short arc like over the bench.
It has the ability to swivel and includes 2 attachments for centering like a rod or something.
Comes with 2 sets of plastic jaws ( 1 set flat, the other multiple V's ) and an aluminium set.
It has a couple of bolts missing which I believe would be something like a "T" bolt.
My tape (Fat Max) is extended to 300mm for size ref.
Do you know about it ?

What Paul said - Zyliss clone. Useful for lightweight purposes, I have 2 Swiss made originals picked up at garage sales. Sold at Shows for ridiculously high money. Good find

I recall seeing these at various shows where they would start the day asking $300 and by the time you were leaving late in the afternoon they were down to $200. Generally came with an instruction DVD. I suspect it is the type of product where there is a lot around that were never used and still look brand new, like yours! I imagine they could be quite handy for light clamping jobs, but it would be far too easy to ask more than they could give, with predictable results.

There were at least two versions sold at wood shows some years ago. One was expensive the other reasonable cheap. Needles to say I had cheap version for some years. Was very good until the shaft bent..

I've had a Zyliss for years. Good handy piece of kit!!
Portable, versatile and has a strong grip. I use it quite often.

I bought one at a Woodworking show for about $270.
Have used it a couple of times to plane or work small pieces.
You do require something suitable to clamp it to, normally near an edge so you can turn the handle. Needs a bit of planing to use, but can be useful when you do not have your normal vice available.

My principal use is for shaping saw handles. I would not use one for anything forceful.

My Zyliss is 48 years old, bought on special at Nock & Kirby's back when they existed. It is quite versatile, and did stirling service until I build a bench with a decent vice. Now it gets pulled out occasionally if I need an extra vice.
It doesn't have the ability to rotate.
