Default Next Project - Bedside Cabinets

After a request from my son I have started on my next project.

Brief is for two bedside cabinets. 710H 480W 410D. Must be in hardwood. 4 drawers each (cringe, that's a lot of work)
5mm Chamfer on edges and trim only no rounding over. I have not discussed finishes yet, that's for later.

I mocked up a few plans to share with you. These are tentative and may change a bit depending on what materials I can come up with.

Cutting slots for shelves to sides jointing. Note the stick in the jointer. That is a fitted "gauge" ha ha To keep the machine from slipping towards the front and bringing the slot out into the face of the cabinet. Took ages to come up with a very simple solution.

Fitting shelves to sides, many clamps make lite work or something like that.
Checking checking checking, trying to keep all corners square is difficult for a layman like me.

I have to work out runners and drawers next. Not a bad project this, I am learning some new tricks along the way.

Specifications and clearances for drawer runners.

I used some scraps cut to size as distance gauges to maintain runner spacing

I made up a test piece to be sure that the drawer carcasses would slide nicely!
I trimmed the test piece in until it ran freely. Luckily the clearance was pretty much the same throughout.

That gave me the finished width for the drawers.

Does anyone know why my uploaded images are being rotated??? I will give posting away if I can't fix it because it looks crook, driving me crazy.
