Workshop Dust Filter Blower
Hi Guys,
Yes, I'm back on the bench and have had enough of job searching to last me for awhile. I'll be taking the next few weeks to sort out the Triton users group and catch up on a few woodworking projects.
I've finally been able to chase down a blower that I want for a Workshop Filter system.
Please have a look at this site: http://www.electricmotorwarehouse.com/dayton_blower.htm and scroll down until you find the picture of the 4C015 blower.
I believe this is the type of blower product range I'll need for a single car garage workshop.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find an Australian distributor for these Dayton products?
Or an Australian Manufacturer or Distributor for a similar range of products?

Barry,
Rather than going to Church, I go to the Wantirna Trash & Treasure Market each Sunday.
There has been a number sellers out there for the last two weeks with fan blowers which look very similar to what you appear to want.
It's not far up the road from Glen Iris

Thanks for the responses guys.
Fantech didn't want to know me the first time I called. But peaked the interest of a different engineer the second time I called.
My specs are:
My single car garage:
20' x 13' x 10' = 2600 cubic feet
2600 x 8 = 20800
...( 8 being number of time I want to filter the air)
and to get Cubic Feet per Minute you divide by 60
189.7408 / 60 = 347 cfm (rouded up)
So I want to filter 347 cubic feet a minute.
I need a blower that will accomplish this.
I also need some way of calculating the resistance of 1 micron filters.
Does anyone know how to do this?
My plan is to build a box exactly like: http://www.thewoodshop.org/free.htm
with 2 12 inch by 24 inch filters.

You should have no problem getting fantec product & support if you go thru your local electrical wholesaler.
They have some realy good stuff particularly if you want flame proof.
Clipsal ma also be worth a look they have a range of industrial fans.
