Default Veneered ply for making a cabinet

I am looking at making a sideboard using veneered ply, with a solid timber face frame, support base and edging. Not sure what timber veneer I wish to use yet - possibly Cherry, possible European oak, Tassie oak, Jarrah ?
Would depend on how well the veneer can match to solid timber.
I would appreciate advice on sourcing quality veneered ply.

Haven't been there yet but they look to have good supplies. AM open to others suggestions.

Any particular reason you want ply? MDF or chipboard will be cheaper and much more stable.
We get almost all our veneered board at work from Timberwood Panels. They're one of the only places left that still manufacture, rather than just supply, and they can press any veneer you want. Prices are pretty reasonable too.

Thank you Elanjacobs for your info. This may be a bit cheeky but is there a chance of visiting your workshop just to have a quick look at how you handle some of the construction techniques such as edging etc. This will be the first time for me using veneered material to make a sideboard.

Amerind are in receivership but I think are still supplying. I haven't bought from them since last year though.

Amerind had a closing down sale a few weeks ago. As far as I know, they're now officially gone.

I'll check with the boss, but I can't see there being a problem. We haven't got any veneer jobs at the moment to show you, but I'm happy to go through general construction and such.

    Ahh, wish I'd known that!
