Visit to Sth Australia
Last time I travelled in Australia, this forum helped me with some useful contacts with the studio furniture makers of the area to be visited. I got to see the small but impressive exhibition of furniture in Williamstown as a result of my enquiry. I am to be in the Adelaide, Clare, Barossa area later this year. CAn anyone suggest custom furniture makers and galleries in the area?

I believe there was one in Hahndorf which is just up in the hills from Adelaide, quite a nice little place for a visit anyway.

hi david,
this one might be a little out of your way, its up in renmark! any way its called
glendower gallery. not seen it personally but saw it on tv last night, uses alot of red gum & pepper tree slabs, recycled jarrah & fruit crates for door panels, (very rustic)
they showed a sideboard he made & the top of the mirror frame was made from part of an old wagon wheel (cleverly done and looked good)
your quite welcome to visit us as well, we are in gawler which is on the way to the barossa.
i mainly make jewelery boxes, sml cabinets, sml chests of drawers & blanket boxes etc.
