Default Wandering router - in table!!!

Hi all. Could do with some advice.

I have the Triton TRA-001 router clamped underneath the Carbatec cast iron top router table.

Aside from almost slicing off my finger when putting the table together (heavy top!) it's been a pretty good combination, until recently.

I'm simply cutting a 5mm rebate into some non structural pine and half way through the first cut I realised there was a problem. I shut everything down and discovered that the router had moved in the table, the bit was grinding on the insert plate and the wood was ruined.

I checked underneath the table and one of the supplied clamps holding the router in place was completely loose. I checked the others and found another that was not tight. So I put it all back together, tightly, and started again.

    Same thing happened.

I'm guessing that vibration is loosening the clamps, but I cannot work out what to do about it.

Anyone that's got one of those tables will know it's not the best instruction manual for putting something together but unless there's a trick to those clamps that hold the router in place that I've missed I'm at a bit of a loss.

The timber isn't the problem, it's the damage to the bits and the danger of exploding shrapnel that's worrying me.

Can anyone suggest a cause? Or had a similar problem?

    Thanks.

A couple of pictures of the clamping system would help, with getting an answer , it allows us to see how things are set-up.

Does it have spring washers under the screw/bolt heads??

If the screws go in from the top have you got lock nuts on the threads??

Further to this, you could also try Loctite to stop the threads loosening, if there's not enough extra thread for lock nuts.

I have a similar table and router. I found I really had to hoike the nuts on the clamps to stop it moving - almost to the point of where it seems like it will crush the router base.

I have the same set up and have had no issues at all, does your router run smooth?
    Were you feeding too fast?
When I had my router in the Triton table the bearings went and there was some vibration then, they went about two weeks after the warranty expired and I was refused replacement.got it fixed with a full refund after I wrote to the general manager saying Premium product?Premium price, crap customer service!! (some years ago as you can see)

I had the same problem with my old Triton router table until I realised I had the clamps back to front.
